Microsoft Teams is a collaborative platform designed to include document sharing, integration with other Microsoft products, chat capabilities, including text-based chat, video conferencing, and a voice-only chat option. Similar to Slack, Webex, and Zoom, virtual magicians use Microsoft Teams acts as a communication and project-planning collaboration hub. This is Microsoft’s vision of what an open office space looks like in 100% digital form.

While Microsoft Teams was released in 2017, after Slack – this has not put a damper on its momentum or its popularity. According to Microsoft senior research analyst, Raul Castanon at S&P Global – Microsoft has quickly become the star product of the 365 Suite rather than just an add-on option.

Skype for Business was formerly the leading text, phone, and video chat option for businesses. on July 31st, 2021 – Skype will end its screen sharing and its service altogether for active users.
