Propless mentalism is the art of mentalism, mind reading, and psychological illusion without props. Propless mentalists use techniques such as cold reading, hot reading, imagery, suggestion, and careful scripting to achieve remarkable mentalism effects without depending on mentalism props such as boxes, pendulums, cards, or dice.

The Grey Elephants in Denmark
In this mentalism routine, the performer guides the audience on a mental journey until everyone is bound to be thinking of the color “grey,” the animal “elephant,” and the country “Denmark.” Each audience member feels that he or she had a free choice of color, animal, and country, yet the mentalist concludes the routine by revealing he knows their thoughts, “I’m getting an intuition. But it’s strange because there are no elephants in Denmark!”
The participant answer a series of questions and invariably ends up with the force.
