checking replies (RE:)

After you’re comfortable with the Primary Task — inquiries (Web Lead) — then you can dip your toe in the water of this secondary task — responding to replies!

The first four categories of replies (Reply #1, #2, #3, and #4) are simple, quick, and easy to handle.


Any time a RE: comes in, open it in Mago.
Check the automation. Delete any email scheduled to go out within 7 days.

RE:

  • “We are no longer interested”

  • “We’ve decided to go a different route.”

  • “We booked someone else.”

  • “We’ve decided to go with someone else due to budget.”

  • “Will keep you in mind for a future event.”

Since we see this reply every day, and because it’s simply and easy to respond to, this is the most important RE: to handle.

This is the response for a clear, definite rejection:

Step 1:

Delete each message under Automation Schedule except the bottom two messages

(keep “Have a great time” and “Your colleagues yelling”)

Step 2:

Convert to inactive.

Hand off VIRTUAL

Step 2:

Delete all ff messages except “Have a great time” and “Your colleagues yelling”

Step 3:

Convert to inactive.
