The Delmar Loop

Named one of the top ten streets in the United States, the Loop is a vibrant multicultural neighborhood that will keep you engaged from morning until night with shopping entertainment and, of course, fantastic dining. So today, we’re going to take you to some of the Loop’s top dining destinations and take you everywhere from St Louis barbecue to Korean tacos.

The Delmar Loop in Saint Louis. Missouri is a six-block area, and there are lovely owner-operated independent businesses from all sorts of handcrafted items to the independent restaurants.

All the people that put their hearts and souls into their businesses, that’s the key to the Loop. All the creativity that’s happened here is partly due to the east to west migration and the whole south to north migration that occurred at the same time–and still is occurring–were all sorts of cultures interacted this collision resulted in an explosion of creativity.

It’s still going on today hoop is unique in that it has so many different kinds of styles that fit into one place. The place is so dynamic and supportive of businesses that it allows excellent spots to flourish. So unique compared to any other street or neighborhood in St. Louis.

It’s refreshing to see just different concepts being successful at the same time in the community where we’re all welcoming, we’re all friends with each other, and we all want to see each other do well.

It’s been a fantastic process to watch the Loop evolve from an area that had gone down after World War Two to become designated one of the ten great streets in America by the American Planning Association.

And this is one of the few areas in our city that’s organically connected with diversity there are so many people of all backgrounds that owned businesses owned buildings and live in the area the Delmar Loop is one of those rare one-of-a-kind places near Lindenwood Park.
