Virtual Breakout Rooms

Breakout Rooms are specialized features found in virtual meeting software that allow the host to split the main meeting into smaller groups for focused discussions or activities. These digital spaces are designed for increased interaction and collaboration, imitating the physical experience of moving into separate rooms for group tasks in face-to-face meetings. The host can decide the number of Breakout Rooms to create, assign participants manually or automatically, and switch between rooms at their discretion. Participants can share screens, chat privately within their group, and work on shared documents just as they would in the primary meeting room. Upon completion of their task or at a specified time, users return to the main meeting space with an option for one representative to present their group’s findings or results.
